  • Acknowledge others when they walk into a room
  • Greet them warmly
  • Introduce yourself
  • Make eye contact
  • Introduce others to each other
  • Include others in the conversation
  • Find common ground for discussion (common interests)
  • Express your interest in what's important to others
  • Help others to be themselves
  • Make others feel important
